WASHINGTON, D.C. – Black Women for Obama for Change, (BWFO4Change) announced today they are endorsing California State Assembly Speaker Emeritus Karen Bass, to be elected to U.S. Congress in the 33rd District in Los Angeles, California. After an interview with Assemblywoman Bass, the group applauded her support for the recently passed Health Reform legislation, commitment to combating poverty in underserved communities and her proven record of fighting for equity in criminal justice and education.
"The Honorable Karen Bass has already distinguished herself with her leadership in the California Assembly. We look forward to her serving in the United States Congress where we know she will expand on the great work she is already doing in California." said Dr. E. Faye Williams, Esq.
