About Us--Black Women For Positive Change--An Organization In Transition

Beginning in 2013, Black Women for Obama for Change has transitioned to Black Women for Positive Change. We are a virtual national network of women and "Good Brothers" who helped to elect Barack Obama to be President of the United States. Our current mission is to  (1) advocate on behalf of preserving the American Middle/Working Class, with emphasis on the African American Community: (2) Leadership development at the State and Local levels for public office, and (3) Advocacy on behalf of positive and innovative public policies for working people, elders and youth.

Black Women for Positive Change was established in 2012, as an outgrowth of BWFO4Change. It is led by National Co-Chairs are Delegate Daun S. Hester, Virginia State House of Delegates, and Dr. Stephanie Myers, DC Businesswoman and former Presidential Appointee. The group consists of members from 16 states and is dedicated to supporting President Barack Obama, the Obama Administration and the First Family.
